Compassion First
Every family arrives differently — with grief, urgency, hesitation, or hope. We move at your pace, meet you where you are, and never rush what needs gentleness.
A Hong Kong film studio with one purpose: to help families keep their stories, laughter, and love alive — in films built to last generations.
Legacy Videos exists for the moments that are hard to put into words: a difficult diagnosis, a milestone birthday that makes you want to leave something behind, a parent who is fading, a loved one who has gone.
Too often, the things we most want to say are the things we never quite say — and the stories we most want to keep are the ones we assume will always be there. We made Legacy Videos so families don't have to carry that regret.
We are a small, independent Hong Kong team of filmmakers who believe the most powerful films are not performances — they are conversations, held gently, at home, in the language a person feels most themselves in.
"We do not script your story. We help you tell it — your way, on your terms."
Every family arrives differently — with grief, urgency, hesitation, or hope. We move at your pace, meet you where you are, and never rush what needs gentleness.
No scripts, no re-enactments, no performance. Guided conversation — in Cantonese, Mandarin, or English — so the person on screen sounds exactly like themselves.
Your story is private by default. Films are shared only when and how you direct — before or after death — and never published without your blessing.
Two-camera cinematography, professional sound, and music that carries meaning — finished to a standard worthy of being passed down for generations.
We serve families across Hong Kong and the diaspora — from local families telling their story in Cantonese, to parents and children separated by oceans who want to remain part of one film.
We are experienced at bringing dispersed families together: tributes filmed in different cities, relatives joining the shoot by video call, and subtitles in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English so everyone — here and abroad — can hear the story.
Whether your family has been here for generations or is new to the city, your story deserves to be told with dignity, in your own language, on your own terms.
Every conversation is free and completely confidential. We'll listen first — and answer every question honestly.
